Virtual Surgical Planning in Orthognathic Surgery

On Friday, November 22nd, 2013, Dr. Antoine Chehade will be lecturing on the subject of “Virtual Surgical Planning in Orthognathic Surgery” as part of a panel of speakers at a McGill Continuing Education symposium. Virtual surgical planning (VSP) is a 3D surgical planning that has been used in many surgical fields to improve the accuracy and efficiency of surgical procedures. It allows greater precision when planning for complex movements of the maxillofacial skeleton for treatments such as orthognathic surgery.

La planification chirurgicale virtuelle (PCV) est une planification chirurgicale en 3D qui est utilisée dans de nombreuses disciplines pour améliorer la précision et l’efficacité des traitements chirurgicales. Elle permet une grande précision lors de la planification des mouvements complexes du squelette maxillo-faciale et pour des traitements tel que la chirurgie orthognathique.
